Winter Program Updates for Quarter 4

Winter Guard takes 2nd place in their division

Congratulations to the ACHS Winter Guard, who took 2nd place in their division with a score of 80.36 Saturday at the WGASC (Winter Guard Association of Southern California) Virtual Show. They also took 1st place in Design Analysis and 4th overall out of 19 total ensembles.

Important Winter Program Updates

As we transition to a new quarter and finish our seasons of the ensemble, we will be modifying the schedule to prepare for more group work and recordings. In May, we will transition to our typical workshop model to prepare for next year.

Opt-in Percussion will be performing at the football games on April 10th and 17th.

Percussion new schedule:

Monday will be a slightly abbreviated meet and Virtual - 3:30pm - 4:30pm (possibly with breakout sessions of 20 minutes apiece in 3 groups but we communicate this direct with the students in Google Classroom)

Tuesday - Front Ensemble LIVE - 3:38pm - 5:30pm (same codes as before)

(we will provide instruction to our virtual members separately)

Wednesday - LIVE Battery - 3:45pm - 5:45pm

Front Ensemble - 4:15pm - 6pm

(yes, this means full ensemble percussion!)

Thursday - Asynch Day - no virtual or live meets

Friday - Virtual meet with all Winter Program together to check-in, go over assignments, etc. - Meet code is CAMWGIQ4

Tuesday - Asynch - no virtual or live meets
