Virtual Band Camp 2020 Schedule - Week 2
We want to thank you for supporting our virtual camp and the other content made available to our students this past week. We hope that even more come to access this content and the database made available with the previous instructions and orientation on the Student Resources portal (password available from your section leader). We would like to make it very clear that the only activities we are sanctioning as a program are VIRTUAL and in no way do we condone in-person interaction in conjunction, sponsored by, or tied to our program.
This week is full of more great activities you won't want to miss. Links to sessions will be updated on the department calendar during the week.
Need to miss something due to textbook checkout or Freshman Scorpion Connect? Please attend as much of the live session as possible, then access the recording of anything you missed by checking the postings in the Student Resources page on the website.
Monday, August 17
11:00am - Leadership Meeting
12:00pm - General Session
Introduce new learning platforms, utilize the time to re-assess student requests for distance learning.
1:00pm - Sectionals with Student Leaders
Non-instructional time to be used as a meet & greet with sections.
Tuesday, August 18
10:00am - Breakout Sessions
Winds - Breathing Gym and stretch
Perc / Guard - with staff going over what to expect with Phil, Will, and Joey
11:00am - Breakout Sessions
WW/Brass Subsectionals - Playing
Perc/Guard - Instructional sectionals with staff
Wednesday, August 19
9:30am - Leadership Meeting
10:00am - Subsectionals/Masterclasses (no Guard)
Work with staff and clinicians with instruments.
12:00pm - DCI Watch Party
Camarillo Music staff will host a watch party of a DCI show and provide commentary and in-depth breakdowns of moments.
2:00pm - Guard Sectional
Work with Joey
Thursday, August 20
12:00pm - Design Room
Staff will host a seminar detailing the process and creation of a show and a description of its intent starting with the 2018 ACHS Marching Band production: Sky Blue.
7:00pm - History Night
Part 3. Early 1980s and 1990s with special guests.
