Submit your 2020-2021 pledges and donations
Each year the music program relies on your donations in order to support our students. There are many expenses associated with the various ensembles under the umbrella of the Music Department. To ensure that all expenses related to these programs are met each year, it is necessary to determine, in advance, if the support is in place to move forward as planned.
In a typical year, Music Boosters pay about $185,000 toward funding the Music Programs. Donations pay for about 50%. Fundraising makes up the difference.
While this year is different than any other, the Music Directors and staff are still working hard to provide the students the specialists they have come to expect, who are geared towards specific instruments and skillsets (voice and colorguard) in our wide sprawling program and offerings. We also know that the financial crisis of this year has impacted some families and we completely understand that not everyone is in a position to donate at this time.
No student will be prevented from participating fully in these activities because of their ability or willingness to donate. If you have the means, we would greatly appreciate the impact your donation would make on our program and so would the students.
We are asking families to please make a pledge in the amount you are willing to commit to either donating or raising in support of the various ensembles of the music program this year. Your pledge allows us to determine what level it will be possible to offer these activities. By submitting the form, you are only pledging.
While we can't place a specific dollar amount on expected donations, we have shared the overall donation goals for each ensemble in the program, which are on page 17 of the Department Handbook, indicated directly on the Pledge Form, and listed on our Donate Page. Any amount you are comfortable with, we will gladly accept.
Note that these overall targets have been adjusted to reflect 2020-2021 expectations for a primarily distance or hybrid learning environment.
Donations can be made at any time and are tax deductible. Please consider donating now toward programs in which your student is currently participating. Simply do so via the Paypal link on our Donate Page or send payment payable to: ACHS Music Boosters, P.O. Box 2366, Camarillo, CA 93011. Please indicate "pledge" and the relevant ensemble(s).
Reminder: Check with your employer for matching donations
Many local employers have programs to match employee donations. The ACHS Music Boosters is a 501(3)(c) nonprofit, and all donations are tax deductible and eligible for matching programs.
