Senior Spotlight: Soraya Martin
Soraya will be attending BYU Idaho in the fall to pursue Nursing. Her favorite piece was "White Winter Hymnal," and she really misses those Marching Band bus rides. Her proudest moments in high school were singing the National Anthem at football games and making Varsity Wrestling.

Instruments: Voice
Plan for the future: Going to BYUI! I want to be a nurse.
Travel aspirations: Ecuador! I miss going to Ecuador and seeing family and touring around.
Proudest accomplishment: There are a few, but becoming a varsity wrestler, and being able to sing the National Anthem at games.
Favorite Memory: Being with friends on the bus after a good competition during Marching Band.
Favorite musical piece/tune from high school: “White Winter Hymnal”
Most underappreciated thing about high school: Seeing my favorite teachers and friends. There’s so many good inside jokes and pure moments with everyone.
Quarantine activities: Practicing guitar/uke, and spending a lot of time with my mama and brothers.
What I've been watching in quarantine: I haven’t binged any shows yet... but I did watch “Star Wars” for the first time on May fourth.
What part of the ACHS Music Program has had the most impact on you and why? Being able to be in Marching Band. I have formed friendships with people that I know will last, and I am so beyond grateful for that.
What would you say to your freshman self about the Music program if you could? Join Vocal Ensemble! Even if you have to take some summer classes, it’ll be worth it.
