Senior Spotlight: Courtney Forde

Courtney came in a flute player and is leaving a bass player with Jazz I and having served as our department president. She is pursuing a career in Elementary Education.

Instruments: Flute and String Bass

Plan for the future: I will be attending Moorpark College and majoring in Elementary Education.

Travel aspirations: Somewhere with beaches like Hawaii, Jamaica, or somewhere in Mexico.

Proudest accomplishments: Being president of leadership and learning upright bass

Favorite Memory: My favorite memories were from Jazz 3 my junior and senior years because we had really great groups of people who made it really fun to play jazz after school.

Favorite musical piece/tune from high school: “Slane”

Most underappreciated thing about high school: Playing with the same group of people in band again

Quarantine activities: Cooking a lot, cleaning, organizing, sewing, walking, biking, playing video games, spending time with my dog and my family
