Senior Spotlight: Colby Adams
Colby will attend UC Santa Cruz to study Environmental Science and ideally play trumpet in some ensembles. He was a member of Jazz I for all 4 years of high school where he was featured several times. He'd like to travel to Spanish speaking countries when he gets the chance to flex all that the World Language Dept. taught him.

Most underappreciated thing about high school: Jazz Band
Quarantine activities: Applying for scholarships, working out, going on hikes, and relaxing.

What part of the ACHS Music Program has had the most impact on you and why? Mr. Cook made me really appreciate jazz, and he taught me so much about how to be a better musician. Although Zero Period for four years isn't exactly fun (especially since I am the complete opposite from a morning person), but if it were any other class, or even any other teacher, I probably wouldn't have stuck with it.
What would you say to your freshman self about the Music program if you could? I would tell myself to try to make more friends in the Music program.
