Meet Victoria Bates
Victoria plays tenor saxophone and clarinet in the program while also marching Color Guard, Winter Drumline and singing in the Vocal Ensemble.

Instruments: Clarinet, Saxophone, Voice and Color Guard, so flags, rifles, swords …
Which non-music classes are you excited about next year? American Government, I really want Mr. Staples as a teacher.
Which course are you dreading? Practical Math. I don’t like math it’s hard.
Favorite teacher outside of the Music Department: Mr. Staples, he’s really funny and I love the debates we get into to stall learning time.
What piece of music have you spent the most time practicing? “Sidewinder” and “In My Life,” both I really like playing and singing.
Favorite musical piece/tune from this school year? “Lost Lady Found” and “White Winter Hymnal,” I still listen to these songs constantly
What part of the ACHS Music program has had the most impact on you and why? Color Guard for sure. I got close to the girls in guard, and they’re all amazing. Guard is always there for each other no matter what, and they mean so much to me!
With all of this time in quarantine, I have been... practicing Saber and watching Netflix :)
What I've been watching in quarantine: “Grey's Anatomy” and “Private Practice,” I’m practically a doctor now.
