Meet Janaye Smith

Janaye is a hardworking freshman who primarily plays Trumpet but has added French Horn and Trombone to her repertoire. Her favorite teacher has been Mr. Cline and her favorite music was “Krampus.”

Which non-music classes are you excited about next year? I am excited to further extend my knowledge in math.

Which course are you dreading? I have always hated English. It’s way too opinionated.

Favorite teacher outside of the Music Department: Mr. Cline

What piece of music have you spent the most time practicing? I try to keep a variety in what I play, but I find myself playing “Relentless” the most.

Favorite musical piece/tune from this school year? “Krampus”

With all of this time in quarantine, I have been... cleaning my trumpets.

What I've been watching in quarantine: I can’t binge watch. My parents (both teachers) have set up a homeschooling system.
