Senior Spotlight: Cooper Ysais

Cooper is one of the most involved members of the program. A member of Jazz I, ALL three concert ensembles and a leader in Marching Band. He earned a position at Sonoma State University to Major in Music Education. Congrats, Cooper!

Instruments: Alto and Baritone Saxophone, Bassoon, Trombone, Clarinet, Flute, almost everything

Plan for the future: I will be attending Sonoma State University and majoring in Music Education.

Travel aspirations: Greece

Proudest accomplishment: Receiving a Unanimous Superior rating at Festival sophomore year.

Favorite Memory: Completely failing to be pilots with Alex on the Millennium Falcon at Disneyland.

Favorite musical piece/tune from high school: “Blue Shades” or “This Cruel Moon”
