Hydration, snacks keep Marching Scorpions on their feet

Students need to make sure they are bringing a refillable water jug or bottle to practice so they get enough water.

The Boosters provide water and snacks for about 130 Marching Band students and staff during each of the six football games and seven competitions on the schedule.

We ask families to donate a couple of cases of the small, 8 oz water bottles and/or a case or two of snacks. If you are able to donate, it would be greatly appreciated.

We use the smaller bottles since the students are playing during the games and cannot finish a full bottle without interruption and to avoid spills. During competitions students move to and from warm-up areas and the smaller bottles are more convenient.

SNACK GUIDELINES:

  • Please, no chocolate, chocolate chips, Cheetos, Doritos, or messy or powdery foods. This will keep uniforms and instruments in good condition.

  • All snacks should be pre-packaged from the store.

  • Smart & Final, Sam's Club, Costco, etc., are good places to get snacks

  • Granola Bars

  • Fruit Snacks/Gummies

  • Pretzels

  • Cheese Crackers

  • Graham Crackers

  • Rice Krispie Treats

  • Animal Crackers

  • Goldfish

  • 100-calorie Snack Packs

It would be great if donations could be delivered by Wednesday, Aug. 28, so we can be prepared for Friday's football game. Donations can be dropped off at the Band Room. Feel free to ask a band student before or after practice to assist you with unloading.
