The lights may be out, but the band plays on
Marching Band kicked off the competition season with a wonderful performance at Sounds of Conejo exhibition show last night. The performance of the night, however, was provided by Westlake, which, after the stadium lights went out, continued to perform in the dark, then by the light of the phones of spectators and marching band members around the track.
Thank you to the Booster volunteers for all your behind-the-scenes help with equipment, uniforms, and props. Our first competition is Saturday, Oct. 13, at the Royal Classic Field Tournament. The itinerary is posted to the calendar along with the performance schedule and venue map for your convenience. We will need parents to assist with this tournament. Please use the SignUp Genius to volunteer. Volunteers should be prepared to pay the admission fee of $10 at the gate.
