Finals information for music students, parents
There are a number of things to be aware of as the semester draws to a close. The information below details class assessments this week, scheduling changes during finals week, Jan. 23-27, and Marching Band finals information. Please read carefully and plan accordingly.
Concert ensemble and Orchestra assessments
Concert Ensemble and Orchestra assessments will take place this week, Jan. 16-21 during concert classes. Student not currently in a concert ensemble will be able to schedule an audition with Mr. Cook during nutrition or lunch. Practice materials are available on the website. To access the music downloads, you will need to use the passwords given to you by Mr. Cook for Concert downloads and Orchestra downloads.
Jazz Band scheduling changes during finals week
Jazz Bands will not meet Zero Period during finals week beyond a quick roll call between 7:30– 7:45 a.m. to allow students to be well rested for finals. Instead, there will be after school master classes/rehearsals. Schedule TBD.
Marching Band Finals information
In lieu of a final paper for Marching Band, students will be volunteering for a minimum of one pep band for basketball games. There are four opportunities, two boys Varsity games and two girls Varsity games. Dates are Jan. 20, Feb. 1, 7 and 9. Students should sign up in the Music Room.
