First Semester Jazz Band update
We are so pleased to have a year-round jazz program now at Adolfo Camarillo High School. Jazz is like a language, and it needs to be tended to and worked on year-round for proper development. This class meets during Zero Period during the first semester and will split off into two ensembles during the second semester. Having the first semester class allows the program to study the style and language of jazz far more thoroughly and also allows other approaches of teaching to take place beyond learning tunes as a big band. This course will offer students opportunities and improvisation and small ensembles (combos) as well as several different days where students will present in a music share format. This will give students a chance to dive a bit deeper and be better prepared for second semester Jazz. the Jazz Band will not rehearse until Friday of Week 1 of the school year.
