AUG 15-19 / AUG 22-26: BAND CAMP
Band Camp III begins on Monday. This week's times are 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. All Marching Band members are required to attend in order to have a spot in the first movement of the show. Note: next week, Aug 22-26 times are Noon to 8:30 p.m. If you have not communicated your planned absence to Mr. Cook or you section leader, please do so Sunday evening.
What do I need for Camp? Sunscreen (apply often), shorts/sweatpants (no jeans), athletic shoes (no skate shoes, Converse, flip flops or sandals), hat, sunglasses, plenty of water, instrument, music in sheet protectors in a three-ring binder, dot book and pencil, sack lunch or money for a nearby restaurant. Eat a good, but not heavy breakfast! Avoid eggs and dairy, if possible.
Borrowed polo shirts: Students who borrowed polo shirts for the parade should have them laundered and return them at the start of band camp on Monday.

Football game Vs. Rio Mesa - Aug . 26 call time for games is usually 5 p.m. Additional details will be available on the ACHS Music Calendar and a future email. A Signup Genius will go out for volunteers. We likely will not perform a traditional halftime performance at this game, but will be in our polos playing pep-tunes and also hosting the Air National Guard Band as they play the opening ceremonies and will join us in the stands for pep-tunes!
