Front Ensemble Technician

Malani Bydalek is a front ensemble instructor for various high schools within Ventura County. She was heavily involved in the music program at Westlake High School and graduated in 2016. Her teaching career began later that fall, and has since expanded.

She played marimba in Broken City Percussion’s 2017 production SPINE, earning a Southern California Percussion Alliance Gold Medal and Winter Guard International Silver Medal. Bydalek still has some years left before aging out and plans to continue in WGI and possibly in Drum Corps International.

After pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Studies at UC Santa Barbara for a year, Bydalek decided to transfer to Moorpark to study English with a focus on creative writing. She plans to graduate with an Associate’s Degree in the spring of 2018.

Bydalek is very fond of snail mail and smiley face french fries (available from BJ’s Restaurant & Brewhouse).
